The incident took place in Wilton around 12:40 p.m. on Thursday, May 19 at the Genesis School located at 15 Station Road.
Wilton police responded to the school after Charlton Anthony White, age 26, of Danbury, entered the front door of the private school facility while a class of students were in session and was asked by employees to leave, said Lt. Gregg Phillipson, of the Wilton Police.
White walked around the inside of the building before leaving the facility but remained on the property outside by walking to the rear of the property, Phillipson said.

When officers attempted to detain White, he resisted and ran away while officers pursued him, police said.
White was located near the railroad tracks behind the Village Market and was taken into custody without further incident.

He was charged with:
- Criminal Trespass

- Interfere with an officer and resisting
- Breach of peace
White's bond was set at $5,000 for violations that occurred in Wilton in addition to the total of $15,000 bonds set by the Danbury Police Department.
